Immunohistologic study of TGF , EGF and Ki 67 Antisera on theTumors of Breast

Abstract
Carcinoma of breast is the most frequent malignant tumor in females of Western
countries and it is rapidly increasing in Korean women.
It has been noted that many factors are related with development of the breast tumor, such as the age of menarche and pregnancy of first baby, familial tendency and obesity with hypercholesterolemia. It is believed that
activation
and
altered expression of oncogenes and growth factors play on important role in the development of neoplasm.
So we carried on immunohistologic study with TGF , EGF and Ki 67 antisera on benign and malignant breast neoplasms to evaluate the relation of TGF and EGF and ki-67 with the breast tumors.
@ES The results are as followings:
@EN 1. TGF antierum positivity is 72% in adenomas and 90% in invasive ductal carcinomas.
2. EGF antisera positivity is 27% in adenomas and 56% in invasive ductal carcinomas.
3. Ki 67 antisera reveals similar positive reaction on both benign and malignant tumors, however Ki 67 index over 20% positivity is noted only in malignant tumors in 34% of cases.
